Travelogue

  • Yangpu's business trip warmed by details

This time I came to Wujiaochang in Shanghai to connect with the industry university research project, and specifically stayed at Pagoda Hotel Shanghai Wujiaochang. As a long-term traveler who travels in the Yangtze River Delta, I have stayed at many hotels around Yangpu University. During my three-day stay, the first-class service of this design hotel truly surprised me beyond expectations.
As soon as I dragged two large boxes of project materials to the hotel entrance, the staff at the gate immediately greeted me and took the heavy file box from my hand. They accompanied me all the way through the well-designed lobby and delivered it to the elevator. They also handed me a glass of chilled lime water and said that the noon sun in Wujiaochang was scorching hot, so I wanted to drink some water to slow down. When checking in, the front desk immediately recognized me as a university visiting guest who had been noted online. Not only did they help me upgrade my room to a quiet room on a higher floor in advance, but they also gave me a handwritten tip, indicating the walking shortcut to Fudan University, the location of the 24-hour business printing shop nearby, and even the small habit of "lactose intolerance" that I had noted was carefully recorded in the corner of the notes, reminding me to directly explain to the staff when picking up my meal at the restaurant.
On the first day of my stay, I was busy until 11pm when I returned from the laboratory at Fudan University. As soon as I arrived at the lobby, the staff handed me a cup of hot tangerine peel tea, saying that they knew from my social media posts that I had been using the air conditioning in the laboratory all day and had prepared it in advance to help me drive away the cold. Upon returning to the room, I realized that the scattered project materials I had casually placed on the table during the day had been neatly organized and coded by the staff into a file bag. Even my handwritten notes spread out on the table were thoughtfully fastened with paper clips, and there was also a spare business signature pen next to it. Halfway through, I suddenly realized that the project demonstration USB drive I needed the next day had been left in the conference room at Fudan University. With a try it out attitude, I mentioned it to the front desk. In less than an hour, the staff helped me contact the Fudan liaison teacher and retrieved the USB drive, which did not delay my project presentation the next day.
On the second day of my stay in Shanghai, it suddenly began to rain rainstorm. I came back to the hotel half wet after talking about cooperation outside. As soon as I entered the hotel, a staff member handed me a dry towel and offered to help me dry and iron my wet suit jacket. When I came out of the shower, the flat and straight coat had been hung on the hanger at the door of the room. On the day I checked out, I hurried to the university academic forum on the morning shift. The front desk packed a warm, milk free breakfast bag for me in advance, which was filled with freshly made vegetable bags and hot soybean milk. It also specially called a special bus for me to wait downstairs 10 minutes in advance. Even the notebook I left in the book bar had been loaded into the side pocket of my backpack in advance.
There was no excessive disturbance of polite greetings throughout the entire process, and all the services were just at the point where I needed them the most, quietly resolving all the minor troubles of Yangpu's travel. In the core area of a university like Wujiaochang, it is a pleasant surprise for travelers to come across a design hotel that provides detailed services. Next time I come to Shanghai to collaborate on industry university research projects, Pagoda Hotel Shanghai Wujiaochang will definitely be my first choice.Show more

  • The design foothold next to the fragrance of books in Wujiaochang

This time, when I came to Wujiaochang in Shanghai to connect with the university's industry university research project, I specifically chose to stay at Pagoda Hotel Shanghai Wujiaochang. As a long-term traveler who travels in the Yangtze River Delta, I have checked into Junting's stores several times before. After two days of stay, I found that this store perfectly blends the artistic design with the bookish atmosphere around Fudan, completely exceeding my expectations.
The hotel is at the core of Yangpu District. It is 600 meters away from the Jiangwan Stadium of Line 10. Walking along the street covered by wutong trees with luggage, you can catch a glimpse of the outline of Fudan University's school gate all the way. Just when you get to the door of the hotel, the modern design of the door immediately separates the surrounding bustle of the city. When checking in, the front desk learned that I was a visitor to a university project and took the initiative to upgrade the quiet room type on the high floor. They also handed me a handwritten guide, indicating the shortcut to visit Fudan campus within walking distance. Even the location of our local noodle shop, which has been open for more than a decade, was clearly marked.
The moment I pushed open the door, I was immediately enveloped in a sense of comfort. The industrial style mixed with warm and natural wood design style has no unnecessary fancy decorations. The space of about 40 square meters is spacious and transparent, and the large office desk facing the window is matched with a supportive ergonomic chair. Even after sitting for two or three hours, I won't feel sore in my back. The bedding is Junting's iconic deep sleep spine protection style, with fluffy down pillows that are moderately soft and hard. As someone who travels frequently to find beds, I quickly fell into a deep sleep after getting on the bed. The room was cleaned spotlessly, and the soft furnishings with a strong sense of design were all clean, with no hygiene flaws found at all.
The most surprising thing is the hotel's supporting details. The 24-hour shared book bar is filled with humanities books. After finishing work, make a free freshly ground coffee, sit by the window and flip through two pages of a book, and most of the tension is relieved. The self-service laundry room is equipped with a drying and ironing machine. If you accidentally get coffee stains on your formal clothes, they can be washed neatly in half an hour. It's not impolite to go to the university the next day for docking. The breakfast stall has a wide range of varieties. You can eat the fried chicken, small Wonton and freshly made sandwiches with Shanghai characteristics. If you are in a hurry, you can tell the front desk to pack a portable breakfast and go directly to the subway with it.
The surrounding travel scenes are particularly comprehensive, with a 10 minute walk to the Wujiaochang commercial district, as well as within walking distance to Heshenghui and Bailian Youyicheng. Customers can easily arrange business meals or purchase office supplies within walking distance. You can walk 15 minutes into the Fudan campus. After finishing your work, you can take a half hour walk on the wutong Road in the campus to feel the scholarly atmosphere of the university. Even the tiredness of business trip has been largely eliminated. It takes only 20 minutes by taxi to get to Tongji University, and friends who come by car don't have to worry at all. The hotel comes with a free exclusive underground parking space, so you don't have to wander around the Wujiaochang area for half an hour to find a spot.
In the core area where universities gather in Yangpu, finding a hotel that balances design, comfort, and convenience so well is a treasure trove for business trips and academic visits to Yangpu. Next time I come to connect with industry university research projects, Pagoda Hotel Shanghai Wujiaochang will definitely be my first choice.Show more
